New guidance to support service providers in meeting their reporting obligations

The Financial Intelligence Unit Aruba (FIU) has published the document “Practical Guidance on the Reporting of Unusual Transactions.” This guidance follows the virtual information sessions held on 16, 17, and 18 September 2025.

During these sessions, participants received information about their reporting obligations and the legal framework, with a focus on how to apply these requirements in practice. Participants also had the opportunity to ask questions about their obligations and specific situations they may encounter.

This document brings together the questions raised during the sessions, along with clear and practical answers. The questions are grouped by topic to make the document easy to use.

The aim of this guidance is to support service providers in better understanding their reporting obligations and to help improve the quality and consistency of reporting.
